Since joining Goodbye Valentino’s RTW Fast for 2014 I’ve wanted to get a few new patterns for spring/early summer sewing. Part of being successful with this challenge (and part of my 2014 goals) is ensuring I have a sewing plan so I’m ahead of the game and don’t have any wardrobe emergencies.
Vogue/Butterick/McCalls was recently having a pattern sale. I usually hit the .99 or 5/$7 type sales at JoAnn, but they don’t always have the patterns I want in the size I need. The patterns were a bit pricier in the online sale, but not by much and the aggravation of having to drive 20 minutes each way and not finding what I wanted made it worthwhile.
Here’s my latest purchase.
It’s so fun to get new patterns in the mail! Now, to formalize my spring sewing plan – when I finish my couture dress, I’ll actually be able to get going on some of these!
Any one have sewing plans for spring in place yet? Would love to hear about them!
Meanwhile, Happy Sewing!
