For 12 days I’m sharing ideas for stocking stuffers or gifts for the sewers in your life (or to add to your own list). Here’s another idea:
Christmas Gift Idea #3: Clover Triangle Tailor’s Chalk
If you’re like me, you’ve gone through tons of marking tools.
Most I’ve been totally unsatisfied with – they either don’t mark well or, in the case of some pens, dry up too fast.
I was introduced to this Clover Triangle Tailor’s Chalk recently and I think it’s the bomb!
I have the blue for light fabrics and the white for dark fabrics. It marks really easily and smoothly, which makes it simple to use. The only downside I’d say is when using pins to mark a spot and then rubbing the chalk over to mark it can be a bit fragile and chip. Not sure if that’s just because mine still has some pretty, almost sharp edges, or that’s how they’ll work all along.
Either way, this is a simple tool that any sewer could use and it just might be an upgrade from what they have!
You can buy these direct from Clover (or I’m sure many other places) in blue, white, yellow and pink. For a mere $2.25 they’re a great for a stocking stuffer!
Merry Christmas and Happy Sewing!
